As Ireland’s largest university, with its great strength and diversity of disciplines, UCD embraces its role to contribute to the flourishing of Ireland through the study of people, society, business economy, culture, languages and the creative arts,
as well as through research and innovation.
As a student in UCD you are automatically enrolled as a member of the UCD Students’ Union. Here is a short message from Students’ Union President, Conor Anderson

Welcome to Incoming Undergraduate UCD Students
Welcome to UCD, although we were looking forward to welcoming you in person to the UCD O’Reilly Hall this week, we are delighted to formally introduce you to the University through a short series of video welcomes, starting with UCD Dean of Undergraduate Studies, Professor Marie Clarke and UCD President, Professor Andrew Deeks.
UCD offers you many opportunities to get involved in clubs, societies and other social activities. Some of these activities may take time to recommence given the current public health restrictions, but most student groups are organising alternative ways to interact either in person or virtually in the meantime.
You will also find more information available on
the Well-being web page
While you may not be able to come to the UCD campus for the first few weeks of term due to public health guidelines, here's a taster of what to expect when you arrive on campus.
